Michael Corcoran is a Providence, RI-based musician whose solo work blends dream pop, shoegaze, and ambient textures into something richly layered and deeply personal. After releasing two exploratory EPs, More Weight and Grade Grubber, Corcoran has unveiled Well Nourished, a confident, full-length debut that marks a major step forward in both sound and songwriting.The 12-song album builds on the synths, guitars, and atmosphere of the EPs, but adds live drums and a fuller, more dynamic energy. The result is a record that feels expansive yet grounded, dreamy yet immediate. Well Nourished captures the core of Corcoran’s aesthetic while pushing it into bolder territory. It’s not just a continuation of his earlier work—it’s a clear evolution.Corcoran’s roots trace back to the ’90s shoegaze scene as a founding member of Difference Engine, whose cult-favorite album Breadmaker blended DIY electronics and samples with lush guitar textures.
